TDI-Brooks is seeking a Laboratory Manager at our campus in College Station, TX. TDI-Brooks a research and service company specializing in high-end environmental chemistry; multi-disciplinary oceanographic and environmental projects; surface geochemical exploration and heat flow; geotechnical and offshore survey projects for the O&G industry as well as federal and state agencies. The corporate headquarters and 10,000 sq. ft laboratory is situated on 75 acres just north of Houston in College Station. TDI-Brooks has a staff of nearly one-hundred individuals including fourteen Ph.D. level oceanographers, geochemists, biologists, and geologists.
We seek a degreed chemist with laboratory management experience to serve as our Laboratory Manager (Environmental/Geochemistry) at our College Station campus. The position reports to our Vice President / Chief Technology Officer, and is responsible for managing our environmental and geochemical laboratory. An advanced degree is a plus.

The Portland District staff oversees the operation and maintenance of 19 multi-purpose dams in Oregon and a sediment retention structure in southwestern Washington. We also maintain more than 720 miles of federal navigation channels and 33 channel and harbor projects through the use of two government-owned hopper dredges and three hydrographic survey vessels.

COMIT Research Consultant
The COMIT Research Consultant is responsible for searching for organizing, reprocessing, generating, and disseminating multiple data products (including metadata) from acoustic multibeam bathymetry and backscatter data files collected from 1999 to 2009, related to seafloor mapping and bathymetry primarily around Florida and elsewhere.
Nature of Work
Over the course of the past 20 years, much work has been done to map the seafloor of the west Florida shelf and other adjacent regions using various tools and techniques. While many programs have made strides in collecting and synthesizing the current library of data and data products that are publicly available, the USF College of Marine Science has a private library of data sources on hand that have not been fully archived or disseminated with complete metadata. With the initiation of the Center for Ocean Mapping and Innovative Technologies (COMIT), our short term goal is to develop a library of existing mapping data currently available offline and to integrate these data with other publicly available data sets in national data archives and on our internal website data sites.

Geodynamics is seeking a Marine Operations Manager to supervise operational readiness of our hydrographic survey vessels and physical plant operations. The successful candidate will be highly organized with previous experience in vessel operations management and have demonstrated strong interpersonal and team management skills. The Marine Ops Manager will directly supervise and schedule all shop personnel and our in-house and contract vessel captains both onsite and during field operations. While the position is primarily located in Morehead City, NC, there will be periodic travel for project site visits, rotations as a relief captain (preferred but not required), or travel to conferences / trade shows to develop new client opportunities.
The successful candidate will manage and advance overall marine and facility operations, ensure compliance with safety protocols, and work closely with leadership on personnel and asset scheduling, budgets, and planning for vessel maintenance and improvement. The Marine Ops Manager will oversee a fleet of 5 to 10 small survey vessels (15’ to 32’) and at least one extended duration (>50’) survey vessel.
